AREQUIPA
Arequipa is known as the "White City" for the numerous and magnificent temples, convents, Colonial houses and palaces made of white volcanic stone called "Sillar.” Arequipa is an excellent place to visit at any time of the year, recording 300 days of sun every year. Arequipa is at 7,500 feet (2,300 meters) and ranges in temperature between 50 and 77°F (10 and 25°F).
Arequipa is the second largest city in Peru and one of the most important cities in the south.
