With this day trip, you can enjoy beautiful views of the colors and how the tone and feel of the colors depend on the current weather: when it’s cloudy, the colors are dimmer and darker; When the sun shines, the colors are brighter and clearer.
MACHU PICCHU 2 DAYS
Come and discover one of the wonders of the modern world: Machu Picchu. With our overnight program, you will spend a night in the town of Aguas Calientes and leave the next day, very early in the morning to make your way up to Machu Picchu, and with any luck, catch the sun rising over the citadel before exploring the ancient Inca buildings and beautiful surrounding countryside. Experience the magic that surrounds this enigmatic archaeological site.
Lares Trek 4 days
Lares, known as the “weaver’s route”. This trek invite us to experience the live culture of the Incas. Its trails are full of culture and where the farmers and local communities still keep alive rich traditions from the past, like weaving Inca textiles. Lares is a trek of around 34 Km. a trail full of live history and archeological remains that will show you a bit of what once was the Inca Empire.
The trek is advised for those passengers that don’t want to do an extremely challenging trail. However, it must be considered that along the route there are two passes of more than 4,000 m.a.s.l. Therefore, it is recommended that those passengers that participate must be well adjusted to the altitude. Trekkers who don’t only like the trail but to know more about the communities along the way, alone travelers that would like to learn more about the culture of locals in this area, couple that feel intrepid and adventurous and groups of friends. All will enjoy the alternative trek to Lares.
Salkantay Trek – 5 days
Get ready for a life-changing adventure on the trek that was named “one of the 25 best treks in the world” by National Geographic Adventure Travel Magazine.The Salkantay trek is also highly enjoyable because it is not nearly as busy as the over-booked Inca Trail and for this reason it is much more exclusive, less touristy, and will result in a much richer cultural experience for our participants. This trek was formerly an Incan trade route for coca and potatoes and Apu Salkantay is the highest peak of the Willkapampa Mountain Range with its’ highest point reaching an elevation of 20,574 feet (6,271 m). Salkantay was considered by the Inca to be a deity that controlled weather and fertility in the region west of Cusco and its’ name comes from the Quechua word sallqa usually translated as savage, uncivilized, or wild hence the mountain is translated as “savage mountain”.
Choquequiraw 4 days
Choquequiraw 4D is a Trek of 63 Km. which is advised to passengers who are used to long treks and that are in excellent physical shape and have strong endurance. Choquequiraw 4D invites you to discover the Inca’s last place of refuge, “The Gold Crib”: The archeological ruins of Choquequiraw are also known as “Machu Picchu’s Sacred Sister” due to the similarities in the arquitectural structure of both sites. This trail has a 6-7 hour trekking time per day in average. Therefore, it is a very challenging trek meant for the physically fit. Those passengers who have programmed to spend more than one week in Cusco, couples, groups of friends in search for not so known places, solo travelers that like to enjoy a more personal experience. All of them will enjoy a trek with different climates, flora and fauna and will deepen their knowledge about the Inca’s Last refuge place.
Choquequiraw 8 days
Choquequiraw 8D is a trek of 100 km long, designed for people with physical training and experience for long distance walks with different altitudes and different grounds; with fitness and strenght. 8D Choquequiraw invites you to discover the last refuge of the Incas, “La Cuna de Oro” (the gold cradle): the ruins of Choquequiraw and finish this trek with a visit to one of the wonders of the modern world: Machu Picchu. Both archaeological sites, significantly, bear a strong resemblance to each other, therefore, Choquequiraw is known as the “sacred sister” of Machu Picchu, due to the architectural and structural similarity between the two.
This hike has a running average of 7-8 hours per day. It demands a good physical condition, because the walking regimen is high: daily long distances are traveled, passing through different climates (there is constant change) and the ground is very rough by the presence of canyons. Our trek is orientated to people who have as the main purpose of their travel trekking, due to the days you need to trek it. Also Choquequiraw 8D is made for couples, groups of friends or people who want a more personal journey; enjoy a great diversity of climate, landscapes and variety of ground, flora and fauna, and meet one of the Wonders of the World “Machu Picchu” and the last corner of Inca presence, “Choquequiraw”.
Ausangate 6 days Private
6D Ausangate is a 52 km trek. This trek is intended for people who have experience in hiking and have a good physical condition. Ausangate 6D is one of the spiritual paths, magical-religious character, by the presence of the Cordillera Vilcanota; where the highest snowy of Cusco is located: Apu Ausangate (6384 m), the protective god of the Peruvian Andes. The peak of Ausangate is considered by locals as sacred “APU” and is the most powerful of pilgrimage for today descendants of Quechua central point.
During this walk, we will see beautiful natural landscapes of the mountains from the highland, and have the presence of diverse communities; of which we will have the opportunity to see their customs and traditions.
This hike has a running average of 8.6 hours per day. It demands a good physical condition, because you’re walking regimen is high. It is intended for people who have activities scheduled to Cusco for a period of more than 1 week. It is also for couples, groups of friends or people who want to have a more personal and spiritual journey; enjoy the beautiful scenery surrounding the Apu Ausangate and have a deeper knowledge of the customs and traditions of the Andean people.
Moon Stone to Machu Picchu 5 days.
Moonstone 5D is a hike of 40.1 km to go and walk an average of 6-7 hours per day. This hike is intended for tourists who would like to know more deeply the processes that led to the development of various architectural Inca cities like Watta, Cachiccata and Ollantaytambo. Also, this hike allows us to know Andean populations that still keep the Inca customs and Inca calendars used to determine periods of harvests of various inputs of the time. This hike is tied to a great landscape and climatic diversity; where the variety of scenarios make this hike a great attraction to the sight of visitors.
This hike is recommended for adults: couples, groups of friends, people alone. Also, you may want to trek having a good physical preparation due to the distances and altitudes that you will find through the trek. Finally, the best time to do this trek is between the months of April to November. The other 4 months the route is closed due to the rainy season.
