Earth Hour is celebrated every year on the last Saturday of March and consists of a voluntary electrical blackout in which people and companies are asked to turn off lights and non-essential electrical appliances for one hour, from 8:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. 21:30 h. “depending on your location.”
What is the motto for Earth Hour 2021?
This year, the movement has a worrying theme as its protagonist: the loss of biodiversity in the world. That is why in this edition it has taken as its motto “Connect with nature”, with which it wants to emphasize that the protection of nature plays a vital role in combating and counteracting the effects of climate change.
Peru, being a country of immense biodiversity, needs our support and participation so that our fauna and flora are protected. Knowing this, the WWF in Peru has organized a virtual event on their Facebook page that will be launched during Earth Hour, so turn off your lights and connect to their live broadcast!
