In April 22 we celebrate International Earth Day Cusco! It is the duty of all to take care of it and protect it, because do not have another world.
Started in 1970, when 20 million of americans took the streets, parks and auditoriums to demostrate worried about a healthy and sustainable environment.
The worldwide celebration led to the creation of the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), as well as the passage of laws related to air, water, and the conservation of endangered species.
Since then, every year on this date, the whole world reflects and mobilizes for a better land.
Finally, some facts about our beautiful planet International Earth Day Cusco:
-Emerged more than 2500 million years ago
-Measures 12,713 kilometers in diameter from pole to pole.
-Its total volume of water is estimated at 1,420 million cubic kilometers
-Its highest point is Mount Everest with 8848 meters above sea level
-Its lowest point is the Dead Sea, located 399 meters below sea level.
