We want to remember this important day to all who we live in this awesome Little piece of the universe.
In addition to our house, we live in another home, it is larger, but we cannot move from it. This house is shared with people, plants, animals, mountains, deserts, jungles, lakes, rivers and seas. It is the Earth that gives us food, air and shelter, the water to drink and clothes to wear.
That is why it is everyone’s duty to take care of it and protect it, because we have no other treasure.
On April 22 of each year, World Earth Day is celebrated. Its origin in 1970 establishes the beginning of the modern environmental movement, when 20 million Americans took to the streets, parks and auditoriums to demonstrate for a healthy and sustainable environment.
Since its inception, Earth Day achieved a political coincidence that seemed impossible, counting on the support of different tendencies and economic positions, as well as ordinary people, tycoons and union leaders.
The global celebration led to the creation of the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), as well as the passage of laws related to clean air and water, and the conservation of endangered species.
From then on, every year on this date, the whole world reflects and mobilizes for a better Earth.
