In Wayki Trek we care about the environment, so on the first day of the walk, clients must bring their own water, which can be purchased in the city or at Km. 82.
After our first lunch we will provide you with boiled water until the end of the trek. For this you will need to bring a bottle of water, which you will take with you and use throughout the walk.
We recommend the use of water bottles to conserve and protect the trail since, in many cases, plastic water bottles have a negative environmental impact, especially when those responsible for recycling do not properly manage the route.
If you wish to purchase water at any time during the trek, you can do so on the first, second and fourth days in Machu Picchu.
If you buy water, you must be very careful not to leave your plastic water bottles in non-designated areas.
Please take them with you and dispose of them at the designated collection points in the camps, or when you arrive in Aguas Calientes, where you can dispose of them in the sanitary landfills.
By following these guidelines, we will avoid any negative environmental impact in this protected area.
We recommend you fill your canteen with the boiled water that we provide.

Why choose Wayki Tre to going to Machu Picchu?
We’ve worked with hundreds of guides, cooks and porters, many of whom have gone on to start their own successful businesses.
We are a local company, formed in 1998 by a group of experienced tour guides from different rural communities and with a vast professional experience.
Throughout our 20 years of operation, we have been pioneers in professionalizing the experience on the Inka Trail.
Make more than 18,000 clients from different parts of the world happy.
We work hard on the personal and professional development of our employees and the rural population.
As a result, many of our porters have been promoted to cooks and guides. Also, many of our guides today have their own travel agencies.
