AVAILABILITY & HOW TO BOOK

An intimate journey to the world wonder—tailored just for you.

This 2-day private tour lets you experience Machu Picchu without rush, with the care and depth it deserves. Available year-round, it adapts to your pace and schedule. We take care of all logistics with precision and warmth.

Machu Picchu Entry Availability

A protected World Heritage Site in high demand

Machu Picchu is an invaluable historic sanctuary, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Its protection is a shared responsibility. Entry is strictly regulated by Peru’s Ministry of Culture with a daily visitor limit:

  • 4,500 people/day during low season (November–March)
  • 5,600 people/day during high season (April–October)

These quotas include travelers arriving by train, on all Inca Trail versions, and via alternative routes such as Salkantay, Lares, Inca Jungle, and others.

Due to global demand and the limited number of daily permits, booking in advance is essential—especially for the most immersive routes. We recommend reserving at least 6 to 10 months in advance, particularly if you’re traveling between May and October (peak season). Early reservations ensure not only access but also the chance to experience the most complete and enriching circuits.
Last-minute reservations are subject to availability and often offer fewer options.

Official Circuits & Routes

The tour inside Machu Picchu follows one of the four official circuits assigned based on availability at booking time.
Each circuit offers different paths and levels of complexity. The most comprehensive routes (like Circuit 2) are in high demand, so early booking is key to securing the most enriching experience.

The 4 official circuits are:

  • Circuit 1: Upper route with viewpoints (Guardian’s House) and agricultural zone
  • Circuit 2: Classic and most complete route through temples and main plazas (high demand)
  • Circuit 3: Lower route through urban, industrial, and royal temple areas
  • Circuit 4: Lower route with access to Intihuatana or the Temple of the Sun (subject to availability)

Wayki Trek will assign the best available circuit at the time of your reservation, always prioritizing a fluid, enriching experience.
