Ausangate Trek

More than a hike: a journey through glaciers, culture, and soul

Explore one of Peru’s most breathtaking trekking routes, surrounded by sacred mountains, turquoise lakes, and living Quechua communities. The Ausangate Trek is perfect for those seeking physical challenge, cultural connection, and genuine camaraderie.

In small groups of 4 to 6 people, you’ll cross mountain passes above 5,000 meters, camp beneath star-filled skies, and end your days in natural hot springs. With expert guides, reliable logistics, and heartfelt hospitality, you’ll experience a safe, meaningful, and truly transformative adventure.

AVAILABILITY & HOW TO BOOK

Full flexibility — but better when you plan ahead

Unlike routes such as the Inca Trail, the Ausangate Trek is not subject to daily permit limits. That means there’s always availability to do it… but planning in advance is still key.

Booking early allows you to:

  1. Secure your spot in a small group (4 to 6 people).
  2. Ensure top-notch logistics and ideal camping equipment.
  3. Choose your preferred dates with peace of mind.
  4. Get paired with experienced guides.
  5. Prepare physically and mentally for the challenge

When should you book?

We recommend trekking during the dry season (May to October) for the best views of Ausangate’s magical landscapes.
Reserve 6 to 2 months in advance for optimal planning.
