4-Day Inca Trail for Couples

INCA TRAIL 4 DAYS

Connection, history, and love in every shared step

Set out on a magical journey designed for two. The Inca Trail 4 Days for couples is an intimate, soul-stirring adventure that blends nature, history, and love. Crafted for adventurous couples, this experience fuses physical challenge with deep emotional connection through sacred landscapes, ancient temples, and starry mountain nights. From the first step, Wayki Trek handles every detail with care: Expert guides, meaningful moments, Andean cuisine, and romantic mountain settings. More than a trek, it’s a ritual of reconnection with each other and with the ancestral spirit of the Andes.

Availability & How to Book

Limited Spaces for a One-of-a-Kind Experience

The Inca Trail is a protected area of immense archaeological and environmental value. To preserve its magic, access is limited to just 500 people per day, including all visitors, guides, chefs, and porters.

Important: This daily quota applies to all versions of the Inca Trail (4, 5, and 6 days), meaning every traveler shares the same limited spots.

Additionally, according to the latest regulation from Peru’s Ministry of Culture, each person hiking the Inca Trail must hold two separate permits:

  1. The official Inca Trail permit
  2. A ticket to enter Machu Picchu (limited to 4,600 entries per day)

Because of this double authorization, spots fill up quickly. Thousands of travelers around the world dream of reaching Machu Picchu each day, especially during high season (May to October).
That’s why we recommend booking 6 to 10 months in advance to ensure availability.

Ask our team for real-time availability and secure your place in this once-in-a-lifetime journey.

This isn’t just a hike, it’s a story that will forever shape your bond.

Remember: Two permits are required for the Inca Trail. Book early to lock in your place before they run out!

Inca Trail 4D – Journey of two souls

A Story Written Step by Step

This journey blends mindful acclimatization, deep cultural immersion, and epic treks along the sacred Inca Trail. Each day prepares your body, heart, and spirit for a transformative and deeply shared experience.

Note: The Inca Trail officially begins on Day 4.

Day 1: Cusco Walking Tour

Cultural and Spiritual Adaptation

Begin with a gentle 3–4 hour walk through Cusco (3,399 m / 11,152 ft), easing into the altitude while soaking in the duality of Inca and colonial heritage. Visit the vibrant San Pedro Market, the sacred Koricancha Temple, and the artistic streets of San Blas. This day is about observation and reflection, a soft introduction where history awakens and your heart begins aligning with the journey. End the day overlooking Cusco from above, in silence, feeling your inner transformation begin.

Day 2: Sacred Valley Exploration

Nature and Culture in Harmony

Continue acclimatizing at a higher altitude with moderate hikes. Explore Sacsayhuamán, Qenqo, Puka Pukara, and Tambomachay, learning how Inca spirituality was woven into every stone. Connect with Andean wildlife and conservation at Cochahuasi Sanctuary. After lunch in the Sacred Valley, unwind in Pisac, feeling your bodies and your bond grow stronger with each breath and step.

Day 3: Pisac & Porters’ Community

A Deep Encounter with Andean Roots

At 3,700 m / 12,139 ft, you’ll complete your physical acclimatization and enter a spiritual one. Hike along sacred agricultural terraces to the Pisac ruins and take part in a traditional Pachamama ceremony. Then, live and learn alongside the porters’ community, engaging in farming, weaving, music, and ancestral rituals. Enjoy a traditional lunch and a night of storytelling. This day marks the shift from being observers of culture to becoming part of it.

Day 4: Km 82 – Wayllabamba

The Beginning of the Trail

Your Inca Trail officially begins. Starting at Km 82, follow the Vilcanota River with views of the snowcapped Veronica Mountain. Visit the archaeological site of Llactapata, and feel each step align with ancient rhythms. The pace is gentle, with pauses for breathing, reflection, and connection. That evening, share a romantic dinner under the stars at your Wayllabamba campsite, the first sacred shelter on your path.

Day 5: Wayllabamba – Pacaymayo

Shared Challenge, Shared Triumph

Today’s hike is the most demanding, reaching Warmiwañusca Pass (4,200 m / 13,779 ft). But you’re ready—physically and emotionally. Support each other step by step, embracing the challenge together. At the summit, honor your journey with a ritual of release, letting go of what no longer serves and giving thanks for your strength. Descend to the Pacaymayo camp, where an herbal tea and a guided meditation await, closing a day of effort, love, and renewal.

Day 6: Pacaymayo – Wiñaywayna

History and Reflection

Pass through Runkurakay, Sayacmarca, and Phuyupatamarca. Hike through cloud forests, Inca tunnels, and sacred viewpoints. The trail becomes a space for quiet introspection. Reflect on the path you’ve walked, both physical and emotional, and the ancient wisdom around you. At Wiñaywayna, take part in a gratitude ceremony and enjoy an intimate dinner. Every glance, every silence, becomes a meaningful conversation between you and your partner.

Day 7: Wiñaywayna – Machu Picchu

The Final Transformation

Before dawn, arrive at Inti Punku—The Sun Gate—and watch Machu Picchu emerge through mist and morning light. This view is more than visual—it symbolizes everything you’ve faced, overcome, and cherished together. Continue with a guided tour of Machu Picchu’s most iconic sites, capturing unforgettable moments in photographs and in your hearts.

Later, return to Cusco filled with stories and emotions that will stay with you forever.
Walking to Machu Picchu together is walking into the soul of your relationship—step by step, heart to heart.
