INCA TRAIL 4 DAYS
An ancestral journey to strengthen family bonds
Embark on an unforgettable adventure where every step brings generations closer together. The Inca Trail becomes a natural classroom—a place to learn, share, and grow as a family. Thoughtfully designed for those traveling with children, this experience adjusts the pace, services, and dynamics so that everyone, from the youngest to the oldest, can enjoy and connect with Inca history, nature, and each other. More than just a hike, it’s a chance to build lasting memories and deepen your bond with every footprint left together in the heart of the Andes.
Availability & How to Book
Your family’s next big adventure starts today
The Inca Trail is a protected area of immeasurable environmental and archaeological value. To preserve it, daily access is strictly limited to 500 people, including hikers, guides, cooks, and porters.
This quota is shared across the 4-, 5-, and 6-day trail versions—meaning spots fill up quickly, especially during the high season.
Due to recent regulations by Peru’s Ministry of Culture, all visitors must secure two separate permits:
- Inca Trail entrance permit.
- Machu Picchu entrance ticket (limited to 4,600 people per day).
With thousands of travelers worldwide requesting access daily, we recommend booking 6 to 10 months in advance to ensure availability for your entire family and to plan the trip stress-free.
Why book early as a family?
- Secure spots for everyone on key dates (school breaks, holidays).
- Adapt the experience to your kids’ ages, energy levels, and interests.
- Customize services like special meals and family hotel rooms.
- Avoid last-minute stress and enjoy a smoother journey.
Check real-time availability with our team or directly on our website. We’ll help you pick the perfect time for this once-in-a-lifetime family experience.
