A booking is considered confirmed once the completed form with personal details and the required deposit payment have been received, and a confirmation email has been issued by a sales representative of Wayki Trek.
The required deposit is 50% of the total tour cost, necessary to guarantee the purchase of permits, tickets, and other services included in the package. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 15 days before the start of the tour.
Cancellations must be notified in writing via the official email. Permits for the Inca Trail and Machu Picchu are personal, non-transferable, and non-refundable under any circumstances.
General refund and penalty policy:
For treks including the Inca Trail and/or Machu Picchu:
More than 30 days prior: Refund of 50% of the initial deposit (equivalent to 50% of the total package value).
15 to 29 days prior: Client must pay 50% of the total package value. Services already purchased remain available for use.
8 to 14 days prior: Client must pay 70% of the total price. Services already contracted by that date remain available.
Less than 7 days prior: 100% of the package must be paid. Client may still use all assigned services.
No-show or abandonment of the tour/trek: No refund will be issued, though the client may still use scheduled services.
For tours including the Inca Trail and Machu Picchu: once confirmed, rescheduling requires a new booking and deposit.
For other tours and/or treks not including the Inca Trail and Machu Picchu: rescheduling is possible without penalty up to 30 days in advance.
Within 30 days, penalties apply depending on the progress of service execution (consult your sales agent).
Provide complete and accurate information.
Have personal travel insurance (strongly recommended).
Be in proper physical condition to undertake moderate to high-level treks.
Follow safety regulations and guide instructions throughout the journey.
Wayki Trek may cancel or modify itineraries in cases of force majeure (natural disasters, social conflicts, government regulations, etc.). In such situations, efforts will be made to reschedule the experience or provide a proportional refund based on unused services.
