4-Day Inca Trail for Friends

Challenge your limits, create unforgettable memories

Embark on an unforgettable journey with your best friends, a trek that has it all: history, otherworldly landscapes, living culture, and the personal challenge of conquering the legendary Inca Trail to Machu Picchu.

Over four days, you’ll walk through ancient ruins, sacred mountains, and cloud forests, sharing laughter, epic photos, and memories that will bond your friendship forever.

With passionate guides, gourmet meals, cozy campsites, and authentic cultural experiences, this is more than just a hike, it’s a celebration of friendship, adventure, and the free spirit. You bring the energy. We bring the Andean magic.

Availability & How to Book

Limited spots for an epic journey with friends

The Inca Trail is a protected area of immense environmental and archaeological value. To preserve it, access is limited to just 500 people per day, a number that includes all visitors, guides, cooks, and porters.

Important: This daily limit applies to all versions of the Inca Trail—4, 5, and 6 days—meaning all groups share the same limited quota.

Additionally, according to the latest regulation from Peru’s Ministry of Culture, each traveler must obtain two separate permits:

  1. Inca Trail permit.
  2. Machu Picchu entrance ticket (limited to 4,600 people per day).

This double permit requirement means spots sell out even faster, as thousands of people dream of conquering Machu Picchu every day. So, if you and your friends want to secure this shared adventure, we recommend booking 6 to 10 months in advance, especially for high season (May to October).

Check real-time availability with our team.

More than a hike. It’s a journey that strengthens friendships, challenges your limits, and creates stories you’ll carry forever.

Permits may sell out, but memories last forever. Reserve your spot today!

INCA TRAIL 4 DAYS – For Friends

An epic journey filled with laughter, challenges, and breathtaking landscapes.

The Inca Trail to Machu Picchu awaits, with history, shared challenges, and views that will stay with you forever.

Day 0: Pre-Trek Briefing & Wayki Experience (Optional)

A day before, at the agreed-upon time, your Inca Trail begins with a Preparation Session alongside your expert guide to resolve any doubts and secure all logistics. This guarantees your peace of mind.

Optionally, choose the “Wayki Experience”: a genuine cultural exchange with the local porter community. Meet the team that will take care of you and enrich your journey from the very heart of the Andes.

Day 1: Km 82 – Wayllabamba – Start of the Myth

The epic journey to the lost city begins here.

The trail sets off along the Vilcanota River, winding through majestic landscapes until reaching Llactapata.

Here, you’ll feel the agricultural and warrior spirit of the Inca world.
Laughter, inside jokes, and the first real physical challenge of the trek will define the day.

Upon arriving at Wayllabamba, a dinner among friends under the stars marks the start of the true Inca adventure, deepening the group’s camaraderie.

Day 2: Km 82 – Wayllabamba – Pacaymayo – The Challenge that Unites Us

Together to the highest pass: Challenge and camaraderie.

Conquer the famous Warmiwañusca Pass (4,200 m) as a team. Support each other, stay motivated, and celebrate at the summit with a group ritual of release.

The descent to Pacaymayo offers a chance to recharge, share stories, and reflect together. This intense day will remain in your memory as a symbol of shared effort and collective triumph.

Day 3: Km 82 – Pacaymayo and Wiñaywayna – Adventure between archeological sites and forests

Ruins, tunnels, jokes, and history told among friends.

Explore archaeological sites like Runkurakay, Sayacmarca, and Phuyupatamarca as you pass through natural tunnels and cloud forests.

Moments of laughter, spontaneous photo breaks, and quiet appreciation of the surroundings will turn this day into the perfect mix of adventure, spiritual connection, and living history.

At sunset, celebrate in Wiñaywayna with a symbolic toast beneath the Andean sky.

Day 4: Km 82 – Wiñaywayna and Machu Picchu

A triumphant entrance to the place you’ve all dreamed of.

Walk to Inti Punku at sunrise and be awed by the first view of Machu Picchu. Tour the citadel with an expert guide who reveals the ancestral symbolism of this sacred site.

Take that long-awaited group photo, open your intention capsules (if you prepared them), and celebrate your achievement.

This experience will bond you in a unique way, closing a legendary week among friends in the best possible way.

An experience that transforms, unites, and leaves you with a thousand stories to tell.
