Next, you’ll reach the Lares hot springs, where you can unwind together in natural pools embraced by mountains. Here, you’ll meet local muleteers and their llamas, who will accompany you on the trek. You’ll begin a gentle, 8 km walk through communities that retain their living cultural identity—visit family homes and share stories with weavers and farmers.

From here, you’ll trek hand in hand through cloud forest, cross streams, and follow stone paths to Chachabamba, a hidden archaeological gem among lush greenery. Next, ascend to the mystic Wiñay Wayna, an evocative site that invites you to reflect on time and enduring love. Pause for lunch amid ancestral stones and vibrant vegetation.
Continue to Inti Punku—the Sun Gate, where at sunset Machu Picchu unfolds before you. It is a powerful image that will mark your journey. Then descend to Aguas Calientes, where a comfortable hotel awaits you for a well-deserved rest.
