AVAILABILITY & HOW TO BOOK
Your next unforgettable adventure with friends starts now
The Salkantay + Inca Trail 6-Day trek is the ultimate journey for friends seeking connection, challenge, and shared discovery. As the Inca Trail is a protected UNESCO site, daily access is limited to 500 people, including hikers, guides, porters, and cooks.
This limit is distributed across the 4, 5, and 6-day routes, meaning spots fill up fast, especially during holidays and peak trekking season.
As of May 23, 2025, the Peruvian Ministry of Culture requires two permits for this adventure:
- Salkantay + Inca Trail Permit
- Machu Picchu Entry Ticket (limited to 4,600 visitors/day)
Thousands of groups from around the world request these permits—so we recommend booking 6 to 10 months in advance to lock in your ideal dates and personalize your trek with ease.
Why Book Early with Friends?
- Secure the same date for everyone in your group
- Personalize your itinerary based on group dynamics and energy
- Access better campsites, Machu Picchu entry slots, and train schedules
- Avoid last-minute stress and plan with peace of mind
