Inner Journey for Solo Explorers
Dare to cross snow-capped peaks, hidden valleys, and cloud forests on your way to Machu Picchu. These six days will transform physical challenge into spiritual awakening. Every step along the Salkantay and Inca Trail becomes an intimate dialogue with yourself—leading you to strength, introspection, and a deep connection with the Andes.
More than a destination, this is a personal rebirth.
AVAILABILITY & HOW TO BOOK
Your next great solo adventure starts today
The Inca Trail is a protected area of immense archaeological and environmental value. Daily entry is strictly limited to 500 people—including visitors, guides, cooks, and porters—to ensure its preservation.
This quota is shared among the 4, 5, and 6-day versions of the Inca Trail, so spaces sell out quickly, especially during high season.
As of the latest update by the Peruvian Ministry of Culture (May 23, 2025), all travelers on the Inca Trail must secure two separate permits:
- Permit for the Inca Trail
- Entrance ticket to Machu Picchu, limited to 4,600 people per day
With thousands of travelers from around the world requesting these limited spots, we highly recommend booking 6 to 10 months in advance to secure your place and enjoy a smooth, well-planned experience.
Why is early booking important for solo travelers?
- You’ll have more flexibility to choose ideal dates, train schedules, and comfortable logistics.
- You’ll have time to prepare calmly, adjust your gear, and communicate with your guide to personalize the pace.
- You’ll avoid last-minute stress and start your journey with structure and clarity.
Check real-time availability with our team or through our website.
Book today and secure a transformative journey—with just you and the Andes.

Day 0: Briefing Session – Preparing for the Journey
NO ONE
From glaciers to jungles, from silence to ancient whispers, this journey challenges your body and awakens your soul. A pilgrimage of self-discovery that begins with every step and culminates in the sacred sanctuary of Machu Picchu
Day 1: Soraypampa – Humantay Lake – Salkantaypampa – Ichupata
MODERATED
Your expedition begins with an early pickup in Cusco. After breakfast beneath the imposing Humantay and Salkantay mountains, you’ll hike to the turquoise Humantay Lake, nestled beneath glacial peaks. Continue toward Ichupata, crossing the Vilcabamba Range surrounded by snowy summits. Camp beneath a sky full of stars, embraced by the pure energy of the mountains.
Day 2: Ichupata – Inkachiriasca Pass – Sisaypampa
ADVANCED
Today, you’ll conquer the highest point of the expedition: Inkachiriasca Pass (5,100 m), the literal and symbolic peak of your journey. From the summit, marvel at Salkantay’s grandeur and—weather permitting—even catch a glimpse of Ausangate in the distance. Then descend into the quiet beauty of Sisaypampa, as your surroundings begin to shift and so does your inner landscape.
Day 3: Inca Canal – Paucarcancha – Wayllabamba – Ayapata
MODERATED
After a hearty breakfast, follow the ancient Inca canal of Pampacahuana—an incredible feat of engineering still in use. Reach the archaeological site of Paucarcancha, surrounded by verdant mountains and echoes of the past. After lunch, you’ll officially join the Classic Inca Trail. Say goodbye to the muleteers and continue toward Wayllabamba and then Ayapata, where you’ll rest under the Andean stars.
Day 4: Ayapata – Warmiwañusca – Runkurakay – Chaquicocha
ADVANCED
Tackle the most physically demanding day of the route. Ascend the famed Warmiwañusca Pass (Dead Woman’s Pass, 4,215 m) and then Runkurakay Pass (4,000 m). Each step up is a testament to your inner strength. From the top, gaze over cloud-filled valleys and feel the embrace of the Andes. Visit the archaeological site of Sayacmarca before camping in Chaquicocha, where the sunset paints the mountains with hues of fire and peace.
Day 5: Chaquicocha – Phuyupatamarca – Wiñaywayna

Walk through one of the most beautiful sections of the Inca Trail. Surrounded by cloud forests and wild orchids, you’ll visit Phuyupatamarca (“City Above the Clouds”) and take in stunning vistas of mountain ranges and deep valleys.
