MACHU PICCHU

One day to experience the wonder of the world

Travel from Cusco to the sacred Inca citadel on a fully organized one-day journey. Enjoy a guided tour in a shared group setting with transportation, train tickets, entrance fees, and all logistics included. Perfect for those with limited time who still want to witness the magic of Machu Picchu.

A powerful, efficient, and deeply memorable experience!

AVAILABILITY, HOW TO BOOK & GROUP SIZE

The wonder awaits—but your spot must be secured.

Machu Picchu is one of the most visited destinations in the world, and advance planning is essential. Our full-day shared group experience is available year-round, but entry to the citadel is subject to limited daily quotas and official routes approved by the Ministry of Culture.

MACHU PICCHU AVAILABILITY

A protected and highly sought-after heritage site

Machu Picchu is a priceless historical sanctuary and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its preservation is everyone’s responsibility. For this reason, access is strictly regulated by the Peruvian Ministry of Culture, with a daily visitor capacity of:

  • 4,500 people per day during low season (November to March)
  • 5,600 people per day during high season (April to October)

This quota includes travelers arriving by train, via the Inca Trail (in all its versions), and through alternative routes like Salkantay, Lares, Inca Jungle, among others.

Due to its global popularity and strict daily limits, demand is extremely high—especially for the most complete routes.

We strongly recommend booking 6 to 10 months in advance, especially if you plan to visit between May and October (peak season). This not only ensures your entry but also increases your chances of getting the more complete and enriching circuits.

Last-minute reservations are subject to availability and usually offer fewer options.

OFFICIAL CIRCUITS AND ROUTES

Access to the citadel follows one of the four official circuits, which are assigned based on availability at the time of your reservation.
Each circuit has specific paths and complexity levels. The more complete routes—like Circuit 2—are in highest demand, making early booking essential to secure a comprehensive visit.

The 4 Official Circuits:

  • Circuit 1: Upper route with panoramic viewpoints (Guardian’s House) and agricultural sector.
  • Circuit 2: Classic route—most complete, includes temples and main plazas (high demand).
  • Circuit 3: Lower route through the urban, industrial, and royal temple areas.
  • Circuit 4: Lower route + access to Intihuatana or Sun Temple (subject to availability)

Wayki Trek will assign you the best available circuit at the time of your booking, always prioritizing a smooth and enriching experience.
