The Inca Trail is the heart of this journey and also its most regulated section. To enjoy this experience without setbacks, it’s essential to plan ahead. Wayki Trek will take care of everything; just get ready to feel, connect, and walk.
The availability of this package is directly subject to the limited capacity of the Inca Trail, regulated by the Peruvian Ministry of Culture. This policy establishes a maximum of 500 people per day, including tourists, guides, porters, and support staff. This policy protects the archaeological and natural heritage and ensures a safe and sustainable experience.
Therefore, we recommend booking at least 6 to 10 months in advance, especially between May and October (high season). Once you confirm your date, Wayki Trek will arrange all official permits, entrance tickets, accommodations, and transfers included in the itinerary.

This tour has been designed for travelers seeking an authentic immersion in Peru’s diversity. From the Pacific coast to the sacred Andes, each stop brings you closer to its history, its people, and yourself. A cultural, spiritual, and deeply human journey.
Day 1: Welcome to Peru
Where your journey begins and your heart prepares
Arrival at Jorge Chávez International Airport. Our team will greet you and transfer you to your hotel in Miraflores, one of the capital’s most vibrant neighborhoods. This first day is for you to rest from the trip, calmly acclimatize, and begin to connect with the Peruvian energy.
Day 2: Islas Ballestas – Ica – Nasca
Marine Life and Desert: The Contrasts of Coastal Peru
We will travel to Paracas on a private service to embark for the Ballestas Islands. Along the sea journey, you’ll see sea lions, Humboldt penguins, and guano birds in their natural habitat. We then continue to Nazca, passing through the vineyards of Ica and the vast coastal desert.
Day 3: Nasca Lines – Heading to Arequipa
Mysteries Engraved in the Earth
From the Nazca Airfield, we will fly over the enigmatic ancestral lines: the monkey, the hummingbird, the spider, and more. This aerial experience connects you with the astronomical and spiritual legacy of ancient civilizations. In the afternoon, we continue by interprovincial bus to Arequipa, “The White City”.
Day 4: Arequipa Countryside
Volcanoes, history, and tradition in the Andes
We’ll explore the surroundings of Arequipa: the Yanahuara viewpoint, the traditional Sabandía mill, the agricultural terraces of Paucarpata, and the guardian volcanoes of Misti, Chachani, and Pichu Pichu. A day to understand the harmony between land, water, and architecture.
Day 5: To the Colca Canyon
The breath of the Andean highlands
We enter the Salinas and Aguada Blanca Reserve, home to vicuñas and alpacas. We ascend to 4,900 meters above sea level to contemplate the highlands at their finest. Then, we arrive in Chivay, the gateway to Colca, where we will spend the night surrounded by nature and stars.
Day 6: Condor's Cross – Heading to Puno
Sacred Flight Between Canyons and Traditions
Very early, we head to the Cruz del Cóndor (Condor’s Cross) viewpoint to witness the flight of this iconic bird. We then cross Quechua communities and volcanic landscapes on our way to Puno, on the shores of the highest navigable lake in the world: Titicaca. Arrival and overnight stay in the city.
Day 7: Titicaca Lake – Uros and Amantaní
Sailing to the Heart of the Water Villages
From the port of Puno, we embark for the floating islands of the Uros, built with totora reeds. Then we continue to Amantaní, where a local family will welcome us to share their home, food, and customs. A day of genuine cultural exchange.
Day 8: Taquile Island – Return to Puno
Weaving Stories in the Middle of the Sacred Lake
We will go to Taquile Island, famous for its UNESCO-recognized textiles. We will walk through its terraces, visit its artisan workshops, and learn about its community organization. At the end, we will return to Puno to rest and prepare for the next part of the journey.
Day 9: Route of the Sun – Cusco
Crossing ancient paths towards the navel of the world
We depart on a tour service to Cusco, exploring Andean landscapes and archaeological sites. We visit the Pukará Museum, the Raqchi complex, and the Baroque church of Andahuaylillas. A journey that combines history, spirituality, and natural beauty, leading to the ancient Inca capital.
Day 10: Sacred Valley of the Incas

We’ll explore the Sacred Valley, visit Pisac and its artisan market, Ollantaytambo with its living fortress, and Chinchero, land of ancestral weaving. Each site reveals the agricultural, spiritual, and social ingenuity of the Andean world. Return to Cusco at dusk.
Day 11: Wayki Experience – Andean Community
Live the culture from within
We begin the immersion with our porters in their community. We’ll participate in everyday activities, share a traditional meal, and sleep in a family home. It’s a heart-to-heart encounter that prepares you to walk the Inca Trail with a true connection.
Day 12: Inca Trail – Day 1 (Km 82 – Wayllabamba)
The first step to the sacred path
The hike begins in Piscacucho. Along the way, we cross Inca bridges, rivers, and forests. We’ll visit Llactapata, the first archaeological site on the trail, and ascend to our camp in Wayllabamba. A day to tune into the rhythm of the mountains.
Day 13: Inca Trail – Day 2 (Wayllabamba – Pacaymayo)
Challenge your limits, lift your spirits
We ascend to the Warmiwañuska Pass (4,215 m), the highest point of the trek. The physical challenge is tough, but the view is worth it. We descend toward Pacaymayo, where the silence of the valley invites to introspection and deep rest.
Day 14: Inca Trail – Day 3 (Pacaymayo – Wiñay Wayna)
Ruins, tunnels and clouds: the Trail becomes eternal
We’ll pass through magical sites like Runkurakay, Sayacmarca, Phuyupatamarca, and finally arrive at Wiñay Wayna, “forever young”. We walk among clouds, ruins, and orchids, and feel that each step brings us closer to the essence of the Andean world.
Day 15: Inca Trail – Day 4 (Wiñay Wayna – Machu Picchu – Cusco)
The most awaited sunrise of your life
Very early, we’ll enter through Intipunku and contemplate Machu Picchu illuminated by the first rays of the sun. We will explore the citadel with an expert guide and have free time to explore at your own pace. Then we’ll descend to Aguas Calientes and return by train to Cusco. A magical culmination.
Dia 16: Farewell – Transfer to the Airport
The journey ends, the eternal memory begins
You’ll be transferred to the Cusco airport. We say goodbye knowing that this wasn’t just a trip through Peru, but a journey inward, a story that is now also yours.
