Wayki Experience – Cultural Immersion Paru Paru (2 days and 1 night)

Acclimatization and Human Connection

This program is the most authentic preparation for the Inca Trail, a one-day and one-night immersion in the home of your porters. More than climbing mountains, it is about connecting with the people who will make your journey possible, sharing their ancestral traditions and customs, and ensuring your physical acclimatization at 3,900 meters above sea level (masl).

DAY 1: Encounter, Immersion, and Connection at 3,900 masl

After the briefing at the office, at 11:30 am, you will be transferred to the bus station to board our transport to Pisac and the community of our porters (Paru Paru), passing through beautiful valleys and towns.
Afternoon: Welcome and The Soul of the Andes
Upon arrival at the Paru Paru community (3,900 masl), you will be welcomed by the families of our porters, with an emotional Welcome with Traditional Music and Dance.
  • Gastronomy and Experiential Workshop: You will share a nutritious Typical/Community Lunch, prepared with fresh, local ingredients. You will participate in active demonstrations of Andean Agriculture (using ancestral tools) and an Ancestral Weaving Workshop.
  • Disconnection and Contemplation: We close the afternoon with a short walk around the beautiful local lagoon. A moment of peace and contemplation ideal for your body to assimilate the altitude.
Night: Typical Dinner and Human Bond
You will enjoy a Typical Dinner shared with the host family. It is the golden opportunity to meet your porters, learn more about their traditions, customs, and Andean cosmovision, all to the rhythm of their music and dances.
  • Accommodation: You will spend the night in a Family Home (local lodging in beds), in an authentic environment that guarantees your rest and acclimatization at 3,900 masl.

DAY 2: Breakfast, Farewell, and Link to the Inca Trail

After a Typical Breakfast with the family, it is time for the emotional farewell. You will leave the community with a deep human connection and a perfectly acclimatized body.
Transfer: We head in our transport to Ollantaytambo, to take the train to Km 104 (Start of the trek).

Every service is designed to offer a smooth and safe transition to the altitude, while fostering a genuine connection with the porters who will accompany you on the Inca Trail.

Exclusive guide for this experience, specialized in Andean Cosmovision and cultural mediation.

Accommodation (Local Lodging - Night 1)

Night in a local family home in Paru Paru (in beds), guaranteeing acclimatization at 3,900 masl in a safe environment.

Cultural Immersion

Welcome, traditional music and dance, agriculture and textile activities.

Full Board
