The SAFE TRAVELS is a seal awarded by the WTTC to companies that comply with the protocols designed by the WTCC, which guarantee safety, following the guidelines of the World Health Organization (WTO), with the aim of contributing to the responsible and safe reopening of tourism in a recovery process.
This seal is vital to restoring consumer confidence in travel and tourism worldwide and therefore travelers can be assured that improved hygiene standards are in place so they can travel safely.

REACTIVATION PROCESS OF TOURIST ATTRACTIONS – Wayki Trek accredited with SAFE TRAVELS
Just like companies, attractions also need to have their safety and hygiene protocols in place and must follow the following processes.
1. Prepare a surveillance plan with all the safety and hygiene protocols.
2. Socialize the plan and protocols with all the actors involved in the tourist attraction.
3. Organize pilot trips with the trial/error methodology to confirm the functionality of the plan and protocols and propose corrective measures. These trips are only developed with the actors involved (public institutions and the private sector).
4. Then trips called “white march” are organized with the participation of local visitors, there the existing plan and protocols will continue to be adjusted.
5. Finally, after these trial trips or trial trips, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism will issue an official statement on the opening of the tourist attraction.
